YOUTH MINISTRY
Our Youth Ministry’s Vision Statement:
Partner with parents to develop the spiritual maturity of every student in order for them to be able to defend their faith with tools such as studying apologetics, Christian virtues and doctrine, and the impact influences have in our lives.
The Southwest Youth Group is a group of students in 7-12th grade. We strive to accomplish our vision through a variety of avenues. First, we maintain engaging and discussion-based classes on Sunday morning at 9am and Wednesday night at 7pm. We’d love for your 7-12th grader to join us in this time! Second, we have service opportunities for our teens to regularly get involved within the work of the church as well as serving the community around us through a variety of events. We also have regular activities for our teens to spend time together in fun and relaxed environments in camps, retreats, and other events.
As a church and youth ministry, our task is to help parents succeed by equipping them, encouraging them, and plugging them in to the youth ministry program so they can be full participants in their children’s faith journey. We want families to be the core of our ministry, and we will provide a variety of ways for parents to be a part of the ministry. Whether it is teaching, going on trips, participating in transportation, or helping in the kitchen during events, we want parents to take an active role in the lives of their teens.
So come be a part of what we are doing, as we grow together, serve together, and learn together what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
